Mercy Corps Begins Operating as Prosper Global

09 September 2026

As of September 9, 2026, Mercy Corps is now Prosper Global. The new name marks the evolution of the 47-year-old global humanitarian organization and affirms its conviction that when every community can prosper, all of humanity moves forward.

Prosper reflects the organization's belief that people everywhere deserve the opportunity to pursue a full life. Global reflects how the organization works — pairing local knowledge with global resources to help communities build what's needed, test what's possible, and scale what's proven. The logo combines a heart and an arrow, symbolizing compassion in action and forward progress.

As Prosper Global, the organization will continue working alongside communities facing conflict, climate change, and economic hardship to meet urgent needs and create the conditions for lasting progress.

Because the organization works in more than 30 countries, the transition will continue over the coming months as country offices and legal entities adopt the new name in accordance with local legal and regulatory requirements. During this phased rollout, some offices and legal entities will continue operating as Mercy Corps. Prosper Global remains one organization throughout the transition.
