Building long-term food security

When people can’t reliably access nutritious food, the effects can last a lifetime. Poor nutrition and food insecurity can harm health, limit children’s growth and learning, and make it harder for families to earn a living.

Prosper Global works with communities and local partners to tackle the reasons people go hungry, not just the hunger itself. We support families to access the nutritious food they need today while building stronger foundations to withstand conflict, climate shocks, and other crises.

Growing sustainable livelihoods

When families can put food on the table and grow their income, they can plan for the future.

Prosper Global helps farms grow and businesses succeed. For a small business owner, they may receive a grant to expand their shop. For a young farmer, it might mean a better way to get their crops to market before it spoils. We also connect people—especially women and young people—to job training and online work, so they can find steady income even where jobs are scarce.

Across our programs, we partner with community organizations to improve local agriculture and food markets, so people can provide for their families and put nutritious food on the table.
